Kolkata pitch might not favour India

I read a very interesting piece on Cricinfo today about how the curator of Eden Gardens in Kolkata - the venue for the second Test bewteen India and South Africa - claims he was asked by an anonymous BCCI official to prepare a "turning track" to help the home side.It’s no secret that India want a dustbowl, although you could hardly call the Nagpur pitch a belter. Their spinners need all the assistance they can get, based on the results of the first Test.The fact that the curator was asked to create a surface that would suit the "Indian brand of cricket" is not what interests me - that’s par for the course stuff.
